Gli ABSINTHE sono fondati da Stefano Zuccala (ex Blizzard) e Riccardo Lazzari a Milano nel gennaio 2006, ai quali si aggiungono Andrea “Kappa” Costantini (Rosko’s).

Il gruppo milanese propone un sound solido e originale con voce femminile, caratterizzato da influenze hard-rock, pop e blues, sempre con un occhio di riguardo alla melodia.

La band si mette in mostra sin da subito esibendosi nei migliori locali di Milano e dell’hinterland e, nel 2007, incide il primo EP autoprodotto intitolato “Absinthe”, grazie al quale raggiunge una discreta popolarità a livello italiano e internazionale: il singolo ‘Fallin’ Down’  passa su Radio Lupo Solitario, Radio Propagande (CAN), DW Radio (USA) e altre emittenti sia italiane sia straniere. La canzone viene inoltre utilizzata in una campagna contro la pedo-pornografia in sostegno di Rock Against Child Pornography, di cui la band è ferma sostenitrice.

Nella primavera 2008 il gruppo registra un mini-live unplugged per Dammispazio.com, dimostrando la propria qualità e riscuotendo un ottimo successo, e a Marzo entra nuovamente nei Tiziano9 Studios per incidere il primo full-lenght album intitolato "Chapter One: Urban Fairytales”. Pochi mesi dopo la band firma un contratto con Alkemist Fanatix Europe, una delle migliori e più rinomate agenzie di management e promozione in Europa e sigla un contratto con l'etichetta indipendente UK Division Records. L’album è presentato con grande successo il 26 Luglio 2008, prima data ufficiale del FAIRYTALES TOUR in supporto del disco.

Il 20 Aprile 2009 il disco esce in anteprima Italiana, distribuito da Andromeda Dischi. Il 1 Giugno dello stesso anno l'album viene pubblicato in tutto il mondo in formato digitale. L’uscita fisica europea è invece prevista per l’Autunno 2009 con distribuzione Code7/Plastic Head/New Music.

Nei mesi di Settembre e Ottobre la band decide di rivoluzionare la propria line-up e di rinfrescare e innovare il proprio sound: In formazione entrano Luciana "Lucky" Fabris alla voce, Matteo "Benza" Benzoni (ex Simple Choice) alla chitarra ritmica e Riccardo "Skrotos" Boccassini (ex H.O.A.P) dietro le pelli. Kappa passa definitivamente alle tastiere.

The band plays a bombastic and original fusion of hard-rock, pop and blues, with melodic female vocalist.

The band shows its talent since the early days, playing gigs in the best clubs of Northern Italy and, in 2007, releases its first self-financed EP entitled "Absinthe", becoming quite popular in and outside Italy: the single "Fallin' Down", is played on Radio Lupo Solitario, Radio Propagande (CAN), DW Radio (USA) and other radios.

The song has also been chosen to be part of a campaign against child-pornography, organized by Rock Against Child Pornography.

In Spring 2008 the band records a mini-live unplugged for Dammispazio.com, showing great confidence and receiving enthusiastic feedback, and in March enters the Tizano9 Studios again and records its first full-lenght album entitled "Chapter I: Urban Fairytales”. A few months later the band signs a promotion deal with Alkemist Fanatix Europe, one of the major management agencies in Europe, and a record deal with indie label UK Division Record. The album is introduced to the fans on July, 26th, first official gig of the FAIRYTALES TOUR.

On 20th April 2009 the album is released in Italy, distributed by Andromeda Dischi. On June, 1st the album goes on sale worldwide in all best digital stores. The European release date is scheduled for November, and the album will be distributed by Code7/Plastic head/New Music.

In September and October the band decides to change its line-up in order to improve and refresh its sound: Luciana "Lucky" Fabris joins on vocals and Matteo "Benza" Benzoni (former Simple Choice) joins on rhythm guitar and Riccardo "Skrotos" Boccassini (former H.O.A.P) on drums.
